Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20 fat ratio)
- 12 mini slider buns
- 6 slices American or cheddar cheese (halved)
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 12 pickle slices
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp butter or oil (for toasting buns)
- Ketchup, to taste
- Mustard, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties: Divide the ground beef into twelve small portions, about 2 ounces each. Gently form each portion into mini patties slightly larger than the buns. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
- Cook the Patties: Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3 minutes per side or until reaching your preferred doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place half slices of cheese on top of each patty to melt perfectly.
- Toast the Buns: Lightly butter the insides of the mini slider buns. Toast them in a separate pan over medium heat until golden brown and slightly crispy, adding texture and flavor contrast.
- Assemble the Sliders: Place each cooked patty with melted cheese onto the bottom half of a toasted bun. Top with thinly sliced onions, a pickle slice, and drizzle with ketchup and mustard. Cap with the top bun.
- Serve and Enjoy: Arrange the assembled Cheeseburger Sliders on a platter. Serve immediately while warm, optionally alongside your favorite sides or dipping sauces.
Notes
- Don’t overwork the ground beef to keep patties tender and juicy.
- Use a very hot pan to create a flavorful crust on each patty.
- Add cheese near the end of cooking for the perfect melt without overcooking.
- Toast buns lightly in butter to prevent sogginess and add crunch.
- Keep patties small and matched to bun size for easy eating and handling.
