Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large Eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Cinnamon Swirl

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon

Honey Glaze

  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and combine them with milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing gently until a smooth batter forms.
  2. Create the Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix together sugar and ground cinnamon until evenly combined. This mixture will add a delightful cinnamon swirl throughout the cake.
  3. Layer the Batter and Swirl: Pour half of the batter into a greased bundt or loaf pan. Evenly sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon sugar mixture. Using a knife or skewer, gently swirl the layers together to create a marbled effect.
  4. Bake to Perfection: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the cake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  5. Add the Honey Glaze: While the cake cools, prepare the glaze by mixing honey, powdered sugar, and a splash of milk until smooth. Drizzle the golden glaze generously over the cake, allowing it to soak in and add a perfect sticky finish.

Notes

  • Use room temperature eggs and butter for smoother batter and better rise.
  • Stir the batter just until combined to keep the cake tender and airy.
  • Swirl gently to maintain the marbled effect without overmixing.
  • Check oven temperature with a thermometer for accurate baking.
  • Drizzle the glaze while the cake is warm to enhance absorption and stickiness.
